Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um método para reduzir a incidência de cólica em um indivíduo pediátrico, o método incluindo administrar a um indivíduo uma composição nutricional tendo cerca de 1 x 103 a cerca de 1 x 1012 cfu/100 kcal de probiótico metabolizante de LA; até cerca de 7 g/100 kcal de uma gordura ou lipídio; até cerca de 5 g/100 kcal de uma proteína ou fonte equivalente de proteína; cerca de 0,06 g/100 kcal a cerca de 1,5 g/100 kcal de produto lácteo enriquecido; cerca de 5 mg/100 kcal a cerca de 90 mg/100 kcal de uma fonte de ácidos graxos polinsaturados de cadeia longa; e cerca de 0,015 g/100 kcal a cerca de 1,5 g/100 kcal de uma composição prebiótica.
