Abstract
O presente invenção refere-se a um método e uma composição nutricional para melhorar o perfil de microbioma e metabólico de um paciente pediátrico, que inclui administrar a um paciente pediátrico uma composição tendo até cerca de 7 g/100 kCal de uma fonte de proteínas ou de equivalente de proteínas; até cerca de 7 g/100 kCal de uma fonte de gorduras ou lipídios; pelo menos cerca de 5 g/100 kCal de um carboidrato; pelo menos cerca de 0,05 mg/100 kCal de metabólitos bacterianos; e um probiótico ou uma composição de prebiótico, ou ambos.
