BACTÉRIA, E, MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM L-AMINOÁCIDO - A presente invenção fornece um método para produzir L-aminoácidos, tais como L-arginina, L-citrulina, e L-lisina, usando uma bactéria da família Enterobacteriaceare, particularente uma bactéria que pertence ao gênero Escherichia ou Pantoea, que foi modificada para atenuar a expressão de um ou mais genes selecionadas do grupo que consiste dos genes pepA, pepB, e pepD.
