SÍNTESE DE BETA-NUCLEOSÍDEOS. Um processo de estereosseletivamente sintetizar B-nucleosídeo, por exemplo, 2'-deoxi-2,2'-difluorocitidina, é descrito. O processo inclui reagir um composto de tetrahidrofurano da seguinte fórmula: em que sendo que R1, R2, R3, R4, e L como definidos na especificação, com um derivado de nucleobase na presença de um agente oxidante.
