About the company
Who is SBT
The history of SBT takes shape in the first trademark registrations in 1980, when the broadcaster consolidated its identity and occupied living rooms. The signal arrived in São Paulo in 1981, bringing a new rhythm. SBT (1982) and Qual É a Música (1983) gained space in the schedule, while Show do Milhão (1999) turned Sunday night into a ritual. The brands became fixed on television sets, accompanying the expansion of coverage.
The 2000s brought new formats, and the broadcaster invested in productions that became routine. Carrossel (2012) renewed the children's soap opera and brought generations together in front of the TV. In 2018, a year of greater trademark registration activity, SBT consolidated portfolios present on newsstands and in licensed products.
Recent releases maintain the connection with everyday life. Carrossel O Filme 2 (2016) took the school gang to the movies. SBT continues with a schedule that mixes talk shows, soap operas, and news, and its brands remain in the living rooms of Brazilians.
