About the company
Who is Claro
The company's first trademark registration with INPI dates to 1968, the root of its presence in the country. NET (1993) brought cable TV into homes. In 1998, BCP TELECOMUNICAÇÕES entered the picture, and in 1999, the CLARO brand was registered. Shortly after, the CLARO chip appeared in pharmacies and supermarkets, and the cell phone became a daily companion.
In 2013, the company had its busiest year for trademark activity at INPI, with the arrival of CLARO SPORTS on the screen. VIVAX (2004) added its subscriber base to pay TV, and NET NOW (2011) anticipated the union of internet and video. At night, the NET remote and the STAR ONE (2001) satellite kept the connection to entertainment alive.
Today, NOW NET (2018) simplifies TV and internet subscriptions into a single app. The chip at the newsstand, the internet at the dinner table, and the soap opera on NET show the brands as habit. From commerce to home, CLARO accompanies Brazilians.
