About the company
Who is BRF
The company that is today BRF built its presence in Brazil over decades. In 1942, the first trademark registration at INPI marked the beginning of that journey. Soon came LAPA (1957), DAMO (1959) and SADIA (1960), with PERDIGÃO in 1974. These brands went from the pantry to the table: Sadia chicken on Sundays, Perdigão ham at snack time. On TV, they entered the affection of families.
The year 1989 saw the highest number of registrations, with VITALIGHT, and in 1990 QUALY arrived. Vitalight won the supermarket cart of those who wanted light options; Qualy became the companion of bread at breakfast. At newsstands and bakeries, these packages showed attention to new habits without losing closeness to the consumer.
Then came SADIA S (2004), MISS DAISY SADIA (2005), PIZZY (2011) and the brf brand (2012), after the merger of Sadia and Perdigão in 2009. Pizzy took Friday pizza to the home oven, and Miss Daisy brought practical meals to the routine. Today, from the market to the table, these brands remain part of everyday Brazilian life.
