De acordo com o Art.100 da LPI, não é registrável como desenho industrial a forma "determinada essencialmente por considerações técnicas ou funcionais", como ocorre com o objeto reivindicado no pedido, cujas características são bastante específicas, definidas pela função que virá a desempenhar, como é sugerido no próprio relatório descritivo, no seguinte trecho: "...mantendo internamente toda a funcionalidade tecnológica que sua utilização exige".
