Mark description

The mark consists of the stylized wording "ORDER OF ST. JOHN PAUL II" in dark blue letters, curving around the inside border of two concentric circles, with the outermost circle colored gold and the inner circle dark blue, and with gold lines completing the circle formed by the wording. The background interior of the circle is white. Within the concentric circles and slightly overlapping the top of the circle is a shield with a gold border at the top and a dark blue border on the left and a medium blue border on the right. The inner border of the shield is white on the right and light blue on the left. Within the shield a light blue sun with white rays radiating from its center. Between the sun's border and the inner border of the shield is a dark blue background on the left and a medium blue background on the right. The radiating rays are gold against the dark blue background on the left. A gold cross is centered in the circle over the shield and extending past it on the bottom. The cross is outlined in light blue, white, and gold on the right side, and white, light blue, and gold on the left side. Superimposed over the cross and shield are the world continents in dark blue on the left, medium blue on the right, all outlined in white.
