Abstract
"LIBERAÇÃO CONTROLADA DE AGENTES ATIVOS A PARTIR DE UM REVESTIMENTO DE GOMA DE MASCAR". Método de produção de uma goma de mascar com uma liberação controlada de agente ativo, bem como a goma de mascar assim produzida, é obtida pela modificação física das propriedades do agente ativo por revestimento e secagem. Um agente ativo é revestido por encapsulação, parcialmente revestido por aglutinação, aprisionamento por absorção, ou tratado por múltiplas etapas de encapsulação, aglutinação, e absorção. O agente ativo revestido é então co-secado e formatado em partícula para produzir um agente ativo de liberação modificada. Quando incorporado a um revestimento de goma de mascar, estas partículas liberam na boca e mascaram o amargo e outros sabores desagradáveis na boca, e são prontamente ingeridos.
