Abstract
"PROCESSO E DISPOSIÇÃO DE CIRCUITO PARA AJUSTAR AUTOMATICAMENTE O VOLUME DE UM ALTO-FALANTE EM UM TELEFONE". O volume de um alto-falante em um telefone é ajustado automaticamente de acordo com o ruído ambiente no local do telefone. Durante uma janela de tempo predeterminado que existe durante o período inicial de uma chamada telefônica, o ruído ambiente é medido, e o volume do alto-falante é ajustado de acordo. Por exemplo, o período de tempo pode ocorrer entre o tempo no qual o telefone é retirado do gancho, até o tempo no qual o aparelho é colocado próximo do ouvido. O ajuste do ruído ambiente durante este período tem a vantagem de não precisar filtrar para fora a fala do usuário, como seria o caso na medição do ruído ambiente enquanto o usuário está falando. Além disso, não há necessidade de um conjunto de circuitos para detectar interrupções na fala.
