Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "FENÓIS RÁDIO-IODADOS PARA BRAQUITERAPIA" . A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de um composto fenólico rádio-iodado da fórmula (II) em que: m e n são, independentemente, 0, 1, 2 ou 3, X é um grupo que é negativa ou positivamente carregado em pH fisiológico, R, R¹, R² e R³ são, independentemente, hidrogênio, C~ 1~-C~ 4~ alquila ou um grupo carboxila e I^ *^ é ^ 123^I, ^ 131^I ou ^ 125^I e seus sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis. O composto é formulado e usado in vivo em um animal em braquiterapia em um catéter implantável. Além disso, devido à rápida eliminação renal desses compostos, eles podem ser usados para estudar a função renal. Um processo para preparar esses compostos também é divulgado.
