Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA PURIFICAR ÁCIDO TEREFTÁLICO BRUTO" Um processo e aparelho para preparar ácido tereftálico purificado e, opcionalmente, ácido isoftálico a partir de xilenos mistos. O processo da presente invenção purifica o efluente do reator de oxidação contendo uma mistura de ácido tereftálico e ácido isoftálico assim como quantidades menores de 4-carboxibenzaldeído (4-CBA), 3- carboxibenzaldeído (3-CBA), e isômeros de ácido toluico, para produzir ácido tereftálico purificado e opcionalmente ácido isoftálico purificado em um processo integrado.
