A presente invenção refere-se a um corpo de alimentação inteiramente comestível para animais domésticos compreendendo um núcleo central alongado (1), com seção transversal substancialmente circular ou quadrada, sobre a qual é colada pelo menos uma camada de mistura de grãos (4) e em que o núcleo central é obtido por cozimento-extrusão de uma mistura à base de água, farinha, grãos e opcionalmente açúcar.
