A presente invenção refere-se a novos cetoazalídeos de 15 elementos da classe de 6-O-metil-8a-aza-8a-homo- e 6-O-metil-9a-aza-9a-homoeritromicina A com a fórmula geral (I): em que: A representa um grupo NH e B, ao mesmo tempo, representa um grupo C=O, ou A representa um grupo C=O e B, ao mesmo tempo, representa um grupo NH, R¹ representa um grupo OH, um grupo L-cladinosila da fórmula (II): ou junto com R² representa cetona, R² representa hidrogênio ou junto com R¹ representa cetona, R³ representa hidrogênio ou um grupo C~ 1~-C~ 4~ alcanoíla, a intermediários e a um processo para sua preparação, a seus sais de adição farmaceuticamente aceitáveis com ácidos inorgânicos ou orgânicos, a um processo para a preparação de composições farmacêuticas, bem como ao uso das composições farmacêuticas no tratamento de infecções bacterianas.
