Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO E INSTALAÇÃO PARA TRATAMENTO DE EFLUENTES LÍQUIDOS" . A invenção refere-se a um processo para tratamento de efluentes e uma instalação para tratar efluente. A instalação compreende um par de vasos alongados (5 e 12), sendo um vaso (12) para metabolismo aeróbico e outro (5) sendo para metabolismo anóxico do efluente por microorganismos na forma de partículas revestidas com biomassa, e cada vaso tendo uma zona descendente (4 e 11) e uma zona ascendente (7 e 14). A primeira zona ascendente (7) do vaso (5), para metabolismo anóxico, comunica-se com a zona descendente (11) do vaso (12), para metabolismo aeróbico.
