Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "RESISTÊNCIA EM PLANTAS À INFECÇÃO POR VÍRUS ssDNA EMPREGANDO-SE PROTEÍNA DE LIGAÇÃO ssDNA DO VÍRUS INOVIRIDAE, COMPOSIÇÕES E MÉTODOS DE USO" . A invenção descreve métodos para produzir resistência em planta a um vírus de ssDNA, particularmente um geminivírus, tal como mastrevírus, curtovírus ou begomovírus. O método compreende introduzir uma proteína de ligação de ssDNA do vírus Inoviridae na planta, e inclui uma proteína revestida por fago, particularmente, uma proteína de gene 5 de colifago. A invenção também descreve uma planta transgênica compreendendo um gene que expressa a proteína de ligação de ssDNA e vetores para expressar a proteína em plantas.
