Patente de Invenção: "TRANSFORMAÇÃO MEDIADA POR PÊLOS DE AGREGADOS DE CÉLULAS DE PLANTAS E TECIDOS VEGETAIS E REGENERAÇÃO DAS PLANTAS DOS MESMOS" . Os agregados de células de plantas e os tecidos vegetais podem ser transformados por estruturas como agulhas, alongadas, chamadas "pêlos". O processo compreende a agitação dos agregados de células de plantas e dos tecidos vegetais da planta a ser transformada, na presença de DNA e dos pêlos, com o que captação do DNA e a sua integração são facilitadas. O processo pode ser aplicável a outros agregados de células de plantas e tecidos vegetais, os quais não tenham provado ser facilmente transformáveis por outras técnicas.
