A invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção fermentativa de L-aminoácidos utilizando bactérias corineformes, onde L-prolina é adicionada ao caldo de fermentação como uma substância osmoprotetora a fim de suprimir os efeitos da tensão hiperosmótica nas células.
