Patente de Invenção: ''PRÓTESE DE CAVIDADE COTILÓIDE'' . Prótese de cavidade cotilóide que consiste em um invólucro externo (1) e em um inserto de apoio (2) mantidos juntos por um dispositivo de travamento (3). O dispositivo de travamento compreende um bordo elástico (6) e uma superfície rebaixada (4) que interage com o mesmo. As dimensões são escolhidas de tal forma que, uma vez montada, a ponta (9) do bordo se apoie na superfície rebaixada (4), com a deformação de flexão da ponta (6). A fim de se conseguir isto, a superfície rebaixada (4) forma um menor ângulo com o eixo central da prótese do que a linha de deformação da ponta (9) do bordo.
