A invenção refere-se a uma fornalha de cuba (1), em particular uma fornalha de cuba de redução direta, possuindo um leito (2) de material granulado, em particular material granulado contendo óxido de ferro e/ou ferro esponja, possuindo transportadores de fuso (3) os quais penetram através da carcaça da fornalha de cuba para descarregar o material granulado da fornalha de cuba (1), os quais transportadores de fuso estão dispostos acima da área base da fornalha de cuba (1) e estão montados na carcaça da fornalha de cuba.
