A invenção refere-se a betúmen ou asfalto para a preparação de revestimento de ruas, sendo que se destaca, que o betúmen ou o asfalto contém uma fração de parafina obtida por uma síntese de Fischer-Tropsch (parafina FT). Além disso, a invenção refere-se também a um revestimento de rua com um tal betúmen e um processo para a preparação de um eventualmente revestimento de rua correspondente ou de uma capa de rua com aplicação de um tal betúmen.
