Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA TRATAR UMA FÊMEA HUMANA SOFRENDO DE DISMENORRÉIA, COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACEUTICAMENTE ACEITÁVEL, E, DISPOSITIVO PARA SUPRIR UM AGENTE FARMACÊUTICO A UM ÚTERO DE FÊMEA". Os processos, dispositivos e composições para tratamento da dismenorréia compreendem um sistema de suprimento de medicamento intravaginal, contendo um apropriado agente farmacêutico incorporado em um veículo farmaceuticamente aceitável, por meio do qual o agente farmacêutico é liberado dentro da vagina e absorvido através da mucosa vaginal para fornecer alívio da dismenorréia. O sistema de suprimento de medicamento pode ser um dispositivo tampão (42), anel vaginal, pessário, tablete, supositório, esponja vaginal, tablete bioadesivo, micropartícula bioadesiva, loção cremosa, espuma, pomada, solução em pasta ou gel. O sistema supre uma mais elevada concentração ao músculo do útero, o sítio primário para a contração do músculo discinético, que é a causa patofisiológica da dismenorréia.
