Produto de papel revestido incluindo uma camada de papel e uma camada polímera, onde a camada polímera inclui uma composição polímera de polilactídio possuindo uma razão de Mz para Mn maior do que cerca de 6. A composição polímera, quando fundida, exibe um intumescimento de matriz maior do que cerca de 1,25 para um índice de fluxo de fusão maior do que cerca de 2. As composições polímeras de lactídio, são descritas, bem como os processos de fabricação da composição polímera, o produto de papel revestido e os artigos produzidos dos mesmos.
