Processo para a separação de arsênico pentavalente de uma solução aquosa usando meio de adsorção contendo N-alquil piridínio é descrito. Um meio oxidante e processo para a oxidação de arsênico trivalente em arsênico pentavalente com remoção de arsênico pentavalente assim formado é também descrito.
