Abstract

"UTENSÍLIO AUTO-LIMPANTE ATIVADO E MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR O MESMO". Um utensílio é tornado auto-limpante de contaminantes orgânicos acumulados sobre uma ou mais superfícies do utensílio, por revestir tais superfícies do utensílio com um revestimento auto-limpante fotocataliticamente ativado. Com a exposição de tais superfícies revestidas a radiação de comprimento de onda apropriado, por um intervalo de tempo suficiente, pelo menos uma porção dos contaminantes orgânicos presentes no revestimento auto-limpante fotocataliticamente ativado são removidos. A superfície revestida é deste modo limpada sem a necessidade de esforço manual ou altas temperaturas. A radiação é geralmente radiação actínica, e mais particularmente inclui radiação ultravioleta.
