O processo compreende abrir frestas (E) no solado (S) de um calçado a fim de que as pontas do cabedal (L) possam ser inseridas nas ditas frestas (E) e fixar o cabedal (L) ao solado (S) mediante grampos (G), os grampos (G) ficando ocultos por bordas (R) que contornam a periferia do solado (S) do calçado.
