A presente invenção descreve um novo tipo de vírus transgênico que compreende fatores de transcrição de insetos. Especificamente, o vírus de inseto transgênico compreende fatores de transcrição de insetos que são envolvidos na muda e metamorfose. Estes vírus de inseto transgênicos são utilizáveis como biopesticidas.
