Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO DE PRODUÇÃO DE PLANTAS TRANSGÊNICAS NAS QUAIS A FLORAÇÃO É INIBIDA E SEQÜÊNCIAS DE DNA USADAS NO REFERIDO PROCESSO". A seqüência de DNA de "petunis" que codifica a caixa protéica "MADS" indicada "FBP10" e tendo a seqüência de aminoácidos dado em "SEQ ID N. 2" ou um gene funcional homólogo. A dita seqüência de DNA compreende o gene "FBP10" tendo a seqüência cDNA nucleotídica dada em "SEQ ID NO. 1 " ou um gene funcional homóiogo. A não-ativação da função da seqüência de DNA mencionada, se presente como um gene endogenoso numa planta, resulta em inibição ou floração. Mais adiante, a invenção demonstra um processo para produzir uma planta tansgênica em cuja floração é inibida, compreendendo a expressão inibição como gene endogenoso "FBP10" ou gene homólogo.
