Abstract
''CONVERSOR ELÉTRICO TERMOIÔNICO". Um conversor elétrico termoiônico aperfeiçoado (200) utiliza um cátodo de grade de fios (220) para fornecer uma área superficial maior para agitar elétrons. Alternativamente, ou adicionalmente, a maior área superficial de emissão de elétrons pode ser conseguida utilizando uma superfície encurvada de emissão de elétrons. Um laser (242) fornece interferência quântica para elétrons logo antes que eles atinjam o ânodo, com isso, reduzindo os níveis de energia deles, de tal modo que eles são capturados mais prontamente pelo ânodo. (206). O arranjo fornece rendimento aperfeiçoado de conversão e espalhamento reduzido de elétrons.
