Abstract

Patente de Invenção para "PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA INTRODUÇÃO DE ROTAÇÃO CONTROLADA EM FIBRAS ÓPTICAS" . Fibra óptica é provida com uma rotação periódica de reversão, enquanto a fibra é puxada através de uma zona de fusão. Uma região arrefecedora da fibra à jusante da zona de fusão passa entre um par de alementos opostos. Os elementos opostos são movidos de modo que as regiões de superficie que engatam a fibra se movem em direções laterais opostas em relação a uma outra, girando, desse modo, a fibra sobre seu eixo geométrico. O movimento lateral das porções de superficie engatadas à periodicamente invertido para inverter a direção de rotação. Os elementos opostos podem incluir correias ou cilindros, que podem ser inclinados para orientações obliquas para a direção longitudinal da fibra.
