Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "BOOT SEGURO" . Um subsistema impede a substituição desautorizada do firmware de boot-up (por exemplo, BIOS (63)) embutido em dispositivo (620) de memória não-volátil modificável tal como memória passageira. O dispositivo de firmware está contido em um dispositivo de boot seguro (54) que é suscetível ao processador anfitrião (50). A proteção de segurança é estabelecia pela encriptação das instruções de boot-up usando uma chave secreta (64) compartilhada por ambos, o dispositivo de boot seguro (54) e o processador antiltrião (50).
