Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "FENÓIS E TIOFENÓIS SUBSTITUÍDOS ÚTEIS COMO AGENTES ANTIOXIDANTES" . A presente invenção refere-se a compostos de fórmula (1), em que X é selecionado do grupo consistindo em (a) Y é um tio, óxi ou um grupo metileno; Z é hidrogênio ou -C(O)-(CH2)m-Q, na qual Q é hidrogênio ou -COOH e m é um inteiro 1, 2, 3 ou 4; R1 é C1-C6 alquila; e R2, R3 e R4 são cada, independentemente, hidrogênio ou C1-C6 alquila; ou um estereoisômero da mesma; úteis para o tratamento de aterosclerose e desordens inflamatórias crônicas; para inibir a expressão de VCAM-1 e/ou ICAM-1 induzida por citocina; para inibir a peroxidação de lipídio LDL; para diminuir o colesterol no plasma; e como aditivos antioxidantes químicos úteis para prevenir a deteriorização oxidativa em materiais orgânicos.
