Patente de Invenção: "MÉTODO PARA O TRATAMENTO DE INFECÇÃO POR STREPTOCOCCUS PNEUMONIAE" . A invenção refere-se a métodos para o aniquilamento de bactérias patogênicas resistentes a antibióticos que ocasionam doença em seres humanos e animais. Particularmente, os métodos dirigem-se ao aniquilamento de cepas bacterianas de Streptococcus pneumoniae resistentes a múltiplas drogas ou resistentes a antibióticos. Os métodos empregam uma lantocina, tal como nisina ou um seu variante como agente bactericida.
