Patente de Invenção: "GENES DE PROTEÍNA DE ADESÃO DE SUPERFÍCIE EXPOSTA DE 120 KDA IMUNODOMINANTE DE EHRLICHIA CHAFFEENSIS" . É divulgado um gene isolado que codifica um antígeno imunodominante de 120 kDa de Ehrlichia chaffeensis. A proteína de 120 kDa é uma das proteínas imunodominantes de E. chaffeensis que estimula a produção de anticorpos específicos em humanos infectados. Também divulgada é a seqüência de aminoácido do antígeno de 120 kDa. São divulgados processos de produção de um antígeno de 120 kDa recombinante e processos terapêuticos de uso do antígeno.
