A presente invenção refere-se a um artigo absorvente respirável, tais como absorventes femininos e fraldas para bebês que são dotados de uma folha de forro respirável e que compreende um sistema de controle de odor que compreende agente de quelação. A combinação de capacidade de respiração e o sistema de controle de odor proporcionam um desempenho de controle de odor aperfeiçoado.
