Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "TRATAMENTO DE FOTOFERESE DE LEUCÓCITOS" . É revelado um processo para tratar infecções de células sangüíneas mononucleares, que não infecções retroviróticas. É também um processo para modular a função de monócitos. O processo envolve o tratamento do sangue do paciente com um composto fotoativável seguido por ativação de luz ultravioleta do composto fotoativável. O sangue tratado como tal é retornado para o paciente em um processo conhecido como fotoferese extracorpórea. A função do monócito é modulada por este tratamento.
