"POLÍMEROS TEMPORARIAMENTE RESISTENTES A MOLHADO PROVENIENTES DE PRODUTO DE REAÇÃO OXIDIZADO DE POLÍMERO POLIIDRÓXI E ALQUENO CARBOXÍLICO 1,2-DI-SUBSTITUÍDO" . Tarata-se de um polímero temporariamente resistente a molhado e composições para produtos de papel, por exemplo, papel higiênico. O polímero temporariamente resistente a molhado é o produto de oxidação de um polímero poliidróxi esterificado, mais preferivelmente um polissacarídeo esterificado. O composto de polímero esterificado é formado pela reação do polímero poliidróxi com um composto alqueno 1,2-di-substituído que tem pelo menos um grupo do ácido carboxílico. O polímero temporariamente resistente a molhado proporciona produtos de papel tendo uma resistência a molhado inicial que possibilita o uso do produto na condição umedecida, juntamente com uma taxa de declínio adequada para a resistência a molhado.
