Composições e processos para inibir a polimerização de monômeros vinil-aromáticos em sistemas de processamento isentos de oxigênio são mostrados. As composições compreendem um composto de hidroxilamina, um composto de fenileno-diamina e um monômero vinil-aromático. Os processos compreendem adicionar ao monômero bis-N,N'-(hidroxi-propil)-hidroxilamina.
