Patente de Invenção: "TRATAMENTO DE DOENÇAS AUTO-IMUNES MEDIADAS POR CÉLULAS T" . Um método para o tratamento de esclerose múltipla e outras doenças auto-imunes mediadas por células T é descrito. O método envolve a administração a um indivíduo de uma quantidade terapeuticamente efetiva de um antagonista de um receptor sobre uma superfície de uma célula T, a qual media o contato dependente das funções auxiliares efetuadoras, por exemplo, um anticorpo anti-gp39.
