"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAÇÃO DE IOHEXOL CRISTALINO ISENTO DE SOLVENTES E IOHEXOL CRISTALINO OBTIDO" . O objeto da presente invenção é um processo industrial de purificação e eliminação dos solventes residuais do iohexol, baseado na cristalização do produto em etanol ou na suspensão de iohexol cristalino, eventualmente contendo solventes residuais acima de 100 ppm, num fluido onde tem uma baixa solubilidade, seguida de aquecimento, filtração e secagem. O processo permite a formação de iohexol cristalino que não apresenta qualquer solvente orgânico residual acima de 100 ppm e com grau de pureza incrementada.
