"CABO ÓPTICO ANTI-ROEDOR", incluindo, em torno de um núcleo óptico apresentando pluralidade de fibras óticas (3) e internamente a uma capa externa (9), uma camada de proteção (10) compreendendo pelo menos uma sub-camada em fibra de vidro sendo definida por um arranjo circunferencial de fios de fibra de vidro tangenciando-se mutuamente, longitudinal e helicoidalmente dispostos em torno de uma capa interna (7) envolvendo o núcleo óptico, os fios de fibra de vidro adjacente à capa externa (9) apresentando um diâmetro que produza, quando do rompimento dos fios por um roedor, respectivas pontas de fio projetante do material da sub-camada, suficientemente rígidas para interromper o avanço do roedor.
