Um aparelho e processo para revestimento de uma fibra de guia de onda óptica com um revestimento de polímero líquido inclui pressurizar uma câmara com um fluido de processo, e exaurir o fluido de processo, e em uma direção oposta à direção de deslocamento da fibra entrante, para retirar partículas a partir da fibra entrante antes das partículas entrarem no conjunto de matriz.
