A invenção refere-se a um comutador (10) com sistema de reforço compreendendo um anel isolante graduado (20) com uma peça portante (22) e uma peça flangeada (24) e um anel metálico (18) que possui seção transversal retangular, estando integrado no degrau do anel isolante, de tal maneira que uma parte da superfície radial externa do anel metálico encosta na superfície radial interna da parte flangeada (24) e a superfície terminal interna do anel metálico (18) encosta totalmente à superfície terminal externa da peça portante (22).
