"INSTRUMENTO PARA DESTRUIR CÉLULAS EPITELIAIS RESIDUAIS DE LENTE EM UMA CÁPSULA DE LENTE DE UM OLHO". Aparelho para destruir células epiteliais de lente residual. O aparelho inclui uma sonda (10, 210, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710) configurada para inserção dentro do olho entre a íris e a cápsula de lente. A sonda é adicionalmente configurada para fornecer energia a partir de lá para células epiteliais de lente residual dentro da cápsula de lente para destruí-las. A extremidade distal (14, 22, 322, 520, 620, 720) da sonda está configurada para permitir um cirurgião usar a sonda para alcançar todas as áreas dentro da cápsula de lente para garantir que nenhuma célula epitelial permaneça viva depois do uso da sonda.
