"USO DE UM COMPOSTO E PROCESSO PARA REDUZIR A GLICOSE SANGÜÍNEA E/OU INIBIR A ATIVIDADE DE CGRP". A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de compostos de fórmula geral (I): para reduzir a glicose sangüínea e/ou inibir a secreção, circulação ou efeito dos peptídeos antagonizantes da insulina, como CGRP ou amilina. Em conseqüência, o composto pode ser usado no tratamento da resistência à insulina, relacionada com NIDDM (diabete melito não dependente da insulina) ou o envelhecimento.
