PATENDE DE INVENÇÃO: "MÉTODO PARA A POLIMERIZAÇÃO EM SOLUÇÃO OU EMULSÃO EM MEIO AQUOSO DE PELO MENOS UM MONÔMERO E AGENTE DE TRANSFERÊNCIA DA CADEIA DE QUELATO DE COBALTO". A presente invenção se refere a um método para a polimerização em solução ou emulsão de monômeros etilenicamente insaturados, estireno e outros monômeros polimerizáveis via radicais livres em meio aquoso no qual um agente de transferência de cadeia de cobalto é utilizado, que tem tanto estabilidade hidrolítica quanto solubilidade na água e na fase orgânica, com solubilidade preferencial na fase orgânica.
