Ela contém citratos alcalinos e/ou lactatos alcalinos e/ou malatos alcalinos, eventualmente com uma ou diversas substâncias ativas, escolhidas entre vitamina K, sais de cálcio e vitamina D. Preferentemente o medicamento contém citratos de potássio e/ou sódio, respectivamente lactatos de potássio e/ou sódio e serve para a profilaxia e/ou terapia da degradação óssea, particularmente da osteoporose ou da osteomalacia.
