Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "POLÍMERO CONTENDO SILICONE ADEQUADO PARA APLICAÇÕES OFTÁLMICAS". Copolímeros formados de dimetacrilatos de poli-alquileno glicóis e silicones vinílicos reativos apresentando até 20 átomos de silicone na ausência substancial de agentes de ligação cruzada adicionais são apresentados. Os copolímeros podem incluir um monômero modificador de hidrofilicidade. O silicone preferiso é TRIS (isto é, 3-metacriloxipropil tris (trimetilsilóxi) silano), enquanto o polialquileno glicol preferido é dimetacrilato de polipropileno glicol. Os copolímeros são especialmente apropriados para usar na fabricação de lentes de contato por causa da boa durabilidade e alta permeabilidade de oxigênio.
