Patente de Invenção de Patente de Invenção de "COMPLEXOS DE METAL, DE ANSA-RAC E DE METAL ANSA-RAC, PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UM COMPLEXO DE METAL DE TRANSIÇÃO ANSA-RAC, COMPOSIÇÃO DE MATÉRIA ÚTIL COMO CATALISADOR DE POLIMERIZAÇÃO DE OLEFINA E PROCESSO DE POLIMERIZAÇÃO DE OLEFINA", compreendendo complexos de metal de transição do Grupo 4 de bisciclopentadienila, formados através do contato de um complexo de haleto, hidrocarbila, hidrocarbiloxi ou amida de metal do Grupo 4 bisciclopentadienil com dieno conjugado. Unicamente, o diasterômero ("diastereomer") é seletivamente isolado e pode ser convertido na forma de haleto se desejado. Quando combinado com cocatalisador de ativação padrão ou ativados com uma técnica de ativação, os complexos formam catalisadores para polimerização de olefinas, diolefinas e/ou monômeros insaturados acetilenicamente.
